Begüm Kayum Ağar specialized mainly in merger and acquisitions, litigation, employment, real estate, e-commerce and data protection law. She also focuses on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy law.
Begüm is qualified attorney of New York Bar.
Begüm has significant experience representing international and local clients from a variety of sectors in their corporate transactional needs. She advises market leader companies in their strategic investments on a wide range of sectors including but not limited to with maritime, construction, telecommunication, e-commerce, retail, manufacturing and transportation. Her transactional experience in the United States and Turkey allows her to provide a particular business-oriented approach to clients during their litigation and arbitration process.
She is also experienced in advising international and domestic clients on corporate law matters such as company formations, corporate governance, share transfers, capital increases, and due diligence processes.
In addition, Begüm has a great deal of experience in E-Commerce, Data Protection & Privacy Law and Consumer Law advising sector leaders in both their compliance programs as well as their electronic transaction processes and payment systems.
Begüm is also lecturer at Yeditepe University and teaches US Corporate Law.
